OUR MEDICARE CERTIFIED, NEW JERSEY LICENSED, AAAHC CERTIFIED ENDOSCOPY CENTER

Teaneck Gastroenterology and Endoscopy Center (TGEC) is a New Jersey Licensed, Medicare Certified and AAAHC Certified ambulatory surgery center specializing in endoscopy. It is owned and operated by Drs. Schmidt, Micale and Palance and managed by Covenant Surgical Partners. Our Center specializes in the performance of gastroscopies (upper endoscopy), and colonoscopies (lower endoscopies). It is inspected by the New Jersey State Department of Health and Senior Services (NJDOH), on behalf of the Center for Medicare Services (CMS), which utilizes stringent criteria for certification. We are also accredited by the AAAHC (Accreditation Association of Ambulatory Health Care). Our Lab is JCAHO certifiied. These inspections are unannounced and are performed on a cyclical basis designated by the CMS, AAAHC and NJDOH and JCAHO. We are pleased that we have successfully passed each of our surveys and have always maintained our Medicare certification.

While TGEC utilizes similar sedation protocol, monitoring equipment and professional staffing as found in the hospital, our patients tell us that they prefer our Center since our smaller size allows for a more personalized ambience and a more time-efficient experience. Our professional staff of doctors, nurses, technicians and receptionists all work in unison to provide quality patient care in an atmosphere of comfort, efficiency and compassion.

Teaneck Gastroenterology and Endoscopy Center does participate with selected insurances. In the event that your procedure is scheduled at our Center, you will be advised of your responsibility in accordance with your insurance plan benefits.
